| UISOL Expands Auto-DR Practice With Hiring of Dirk Mahling |

Former CPower, Constellation executive joins management team of UISOL Software LAFAYETTE, Cal. — Feb. 1, 2011 — Utility Integration Solutions, Inc. (UISOL), the utility industry business integration specialist, today announced that Dr. Dirk Mahling has joined the company’s subsidiary UISOL Software, LLC as senior vice president. Mahling will lead professional services for UISOL Software, including design and implementation of automated demand response (Auto-DR) processes and systems. Prior to joining the firm, he was responsible for the architecture of OpenADR field connectivity solutions for Constellation Energy, where he also contributed to the integration of various DR systems and processes. UISOL software develops and markets integration support and demand response management applications for the utility market. Its integration support products help utilities comply with interoperability standards and specifications such as IEC 61968, MultiSpeak and OpenADR. Its signature DRBizNet® software is establishing itself as a tool of choice among utilities, service providers and ISOs for demand response management (DRM) and integration. Mahling was chief technology officer at CPower, a leading demand response aggregator acquired by Constellation in Sept. 2010. He led development of solution and services for implementation of demand response at C&I customer sites and their aggregation and participation in ancillary energy markets. He was ultimately responsible for operations of systems and processes for New England, Texas, New York, Ontario Power Authority, PJM Interconnection, California, and National Grid markets. Dr. Mahling also has a decade of consulting experience, including an engagement with top flight management consulting firm ATKearney. A Fulbright scholar, Dr. Mahling holds a Ph.D. in computer & Information science from the University of Massachusetts. He is also a Certified Metering and Verification Professional (CMVP) through AEE/EVO and is a faculty member in adjunct at the University of Pittsburgh. He is a member of IEEE and OASIS OADR standards committee and has served as chairman of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), Office Automation SIG.
