Exec will lead modeling, analysis and integrated resource planning activities for Ice Energy’s grid-scale distributed energy storage offering WINDSOR, CO – January 11, 2011 — Ice Energy, a leading provider of intelligent distributed energy storage to the electric utility industry, has named Robert L. Davis as Vice President, Utility Market Development. In this newly created position, Mr. Davis will be responsible for directing integrated planning, modeling and analysis of Ice Energy’s distributed, grid-scale energy storage resource for utility customers and prospects. He brings to the company more than 25 years of experience in electric industry planning and operations, most recently serving as the Director of Strategic Resource Planning for R. W. Beck, Inc., an SAIC Company. While at R.W. Beck, Mr. Davis was responsible for multiple electric industry studies related to integrated resource planning, price forecasting for power and fuel markets, locational marginal pricing, demand-side planning, generation simulation, risk and probabilistic analyses, RFP development and evaluation, and power supply contracting. His experience also encompasses fuel procurement, alternative generation technology evaluation, wholesale and retail rate design, cost of service analyses, load and customer forecasting, and financial reporting for revenue bond and capital market issuance. He has testified before state commissions on certification of need, power supply planning, and demandside planning, and RTO formation, and before FERC in support of market power investigations. |
