Jeanine Meier joined The McDonnell Group (TMG) as a consultant in summer 2005. She has since contributed to highly successful marketing program and strategy work for Advanced Control Systems, Utility Associates, Cellnet, MEDecision, Stratix, and Turnpoint Solutions among others. Jeanine was named an Affiliate Vice President Programs in January 2007.
Jeanine and Don McDonnell, TMG General Manager, previously worked together as colleagues at CES International, now owned by Oracle and sold as its utility network and outage management solution. Jeanine, a member of the Society for Technical Communication, spent over seven years at CES working closely with the CES founders on technical information development, product packaging strategy, and the implementation of precursors of The McDonnell Group’s Focus on Practical Methods (FPM)™ marketing methodology. Jeanine also managed proposals for key OMS system sales to customers including ConEd, Duke, Southern Company, and Xcel Energy.
Jeanine created and managed CES International's Information Development department where she ultimately managed a six person information development team. As the Information Architect, Jeanine developed the architecture for a multi-channel single source repository of information to be used across user documentation, online help, training, internet and extranet sites, marketing collateral, and sales. The single source vision along with the implementation of structured authoring contributed to streamlined authoring processes and vastly reduced time to market for information products.
Due to her sales and marketing experience, Jeanine was hired to lead Pre-Sales Communications for the National Banks Market at Wolters Kluwer Financial Services where she implemented a sales automation system and set up a single source knowledge base for RFP responses. The Senior Product Manager tapped Jeanine to develop the documentation requirements for their new flagship application, Expere Integrated Enterprise. During her time in the Wolters Kluwer Financial Services pre-sales department, Jeanine also implemented the IMPAX sales methodology for the National Account Executives to focus on direct C-level sales efforts.
Jeanine grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area (Redwood City) and attended the University of California, Davis. Jeanine is now a resident of Sartell, Minnesota where she enjoys a large extended family and central Minnesota's beautiful landscape; she only rarely complains about the winters. She has two Lhasa Apso dogs, Tucker and Lucy, who do their best to keep her amused.
