WINDSOR, CO – September 28, 2010 - Ice Energy, a leading provider of smart-grid enabled, advanced energy storage solutions to the electric utility industry, today announced the appointment of Mike Young as Senior Vice President of Sales, and Catherine Sullivan as Vice President, Sales.
Young will be responsible for managing Ice Energy’s sales processes, planning, and operations, as well as for sales team management. He brings to the company more than thirty years of sales and management experience in the utility and energy industries, most recently as senior vice president of sales for Direct Energy Business, one of North America’s largest competitive energy retailers.  He previously served as executive vice president of sales and marketing for Strategic Energy, and has held senior sales positions with Aquila, Inc., and Consolidated Natural Gas (now Dominion).

Ice Energy further strengthened its senior sales team with the appointment of Catherine Sullivan to the position of Vice President of Sales, with responsibility for developing and managing Ice Energy’s Key Accounts program for national retailers and corporate accounts.

Sullivan joins Ice Energy following five years at Commerce Energy, where she managed the company’s North American Commercial & Industrial division as vice president of sales.  With a strong background in the energy and utility industry, she previously held sales positions with Coral Energy, Southern Company Energy Marketing, and Enron Energy Services, among others.

“Mike and Catherine are dynamic additions to our sales team – well-connected, respected, and experienced in the utility industry,” said John McGee, COO of Ice Energy. “With their deep roots and knowledge of the business, each, in their own way, will be instrumental in helping to drive the widespread adoption of our solution with utilities and companies throughout North America.  We are excited to welcome them to our team at this important stage of our growth.”

Young will be based out of the company’s headquarters in Windsor, Col., while Sullivan will work out of the Southern California office.
