The Goshen Valley Boys Ranch 5th Annual Golf Classic to be held October 18, 2010 Waleska, GA – August 10, 2010 – The Goshen Valley Boys Ranch announces the 5th annual Goshen Valley Classic to be held on October 18, 2010. The fundraiser will be held in Sandy Springs at Cherokee Country Club, one of the premier golf clubs in the state of Georgia. The Goshen Valley Classic is the primary fundraiser for the Ranch. In years past, generous support for the Golf Classic has provided resources for the construction of the Community Pavilion, the paving of Goshen Valley Trail, and the establishment of the award winning Independent Living Program, having grossed over $250,000. “The 5th Classic will be a true celebration for long time supporters, many of who have been with us from the beginning, as well as those new to the ministry to join together in a day of fellowship at one of the premier golf clubs in the country.” explains Zach Blend, Goshen Valley’s Director of Community Relations, “Cherokee serves as a backdrop to the true gift of positively impacting the lives of the young men that call Goshen Valley Boys Ranch home.” In 2001, The Goshen Valley Boys Ranch opened its doors and has provided a home to over 100 boys. Children come to the Ranch from a background characterized by deprivation, abuse, loss and neglect. The purpose of the Ranch is to provide hope, healing, and a home for these boys in need. The newly established Goshen Permanency Initiative has successfully led to 8 boys adopted into “Forever Homes.” For registration and sponsorship opportunities, go to: www.goshenvalleyclassic.org.
