INDIANAPOLIS – Sept. 6, 2011 – Distributed energy asset management software developer Blue Pillar, Inc., today announced that its technology is a finalist in the Defense Energy Technology Challenge being held at the Asia Pacific Clean Energy Summit and Exhibition, Sept. 13-15 in Honolulu. More than 220 entries were submitted to the Challenge program, coordinated by the Clean Technology and Sustainable Industries Organization’s (CTSI), non-profit industry association representing organizations that develop, commercialize and implement energy, water, and environmental technologies. CTSI’s Defense Energy Technology Challenge showcases next generation energy technology solutions targeted for military adoption that address key priorities of energy security and independence. Blue Pillar CEO Kushman will present the company’s monitoring and control system architecture, highlighting its ability to produce microgrids with capacity from backup generators and other distributed energy assets at military installations and other large footprint campuses. Blue Pillar is one of six finalists in the Smart Grid/Biofuels category to present on Wednesday, Sept. 14 in Room 315 of the Hawaii Convention Center. The State of Hawaii and associated sponsors are hosting the Asia Pacific Clean Energy Summit, featuring world-renown speakers who will share diverse insights into the implications of advanced renewable energy technologies along with cutting-edge projects, while offering their perspectives on policy issues, and investment and financing opportunities.
