Roles and Responsibilities
Eleni supports the public relations services of The McDonnell Group by assisting in a variety of communications functions such as writing press releases, managing social media accounts, exploring press coverage opportunities and establishing relationships with key media outlets.
Professional Background
Prior to joining The McDonnell Group, Eleni polished her professional skills by completing four public relations and marketing internships over the course of her academic career. She joined The McDonnell Group from her internship at The Reynolds Group, Inc., a boutique PR and marketing firm in Buckhead that specializes in the lifestyle and hospitality industry. Previously, she interned with J House Media in her hometown of Athens, Ga., Haute PR in New York City and also assisted Sherri Goggin, former Mrs. Georgia 2006. Eleni’s unique and extensive professional experience has given her insight into a number of industries including non-profit, fashion, beauty, hospitality, technology and culinary arts.
Her knowledge of various communications industries and her ability to perform under pressure and on deadline will enhance the services provided to each of The McDonnell Group’s clients.
Education and Affiliations
Eleni earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism with a concentration on Public Relations from The University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. She also obtained a Minor Certificate in History, a subject about which she is particularly passionate. In fact, her interest in history prompted her summer study abroad to Verona, Italy and gave her the opportunity to travel throughout Europe.
Eleni has previously been involved with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) and UGA Heroes. At The University of Georgia, she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
